more about (in)sight

Led by artists and choreographers Ella Steele (Winnipeg, MB) and David Lafleur (Gatineau, QC), (in)sight brings together dance, music and visual arts practitioners to create innovative works through a process of reinterpretation, improvisation and collaboration.

Seeking to rethink the conventional codes of their core medium, Tap dance, through the exploration of sound and movement, (in)sight adopts an authentic and contemporary vision of its heritage, in order to create and disseminate inventive work that continues to uphold tradition and history.

In order to innovate, (in)sight believes it's important to understand the history of this form. With this understanding, (in)sight blurs the boundaries between music and dance, audience and performer, choreography and improvisation.

(in)sight brings together collaborating artists to inspire research, creation, and production.
