ARTIST’S STATEMENT: Presenting ourselves in the artforms of tap dance and jazz, creatively and authentically, this ever changing project is a reflection of our development. Not only does each symbol (mirror, water, doorway) represent a part of our own journey of self-discovery, we explore each of them in relation to how we personally explore music and movement as tap dancers and musicians. As we deconstruct and piece together the parts of us that make a whole, M/W/D is a collection of moving poetry, a diary.
