Join (in)sight’s artistic directors Ella Steele and David Lafleur with special guests, Danny Nielsen (Vancouver), Emily Sinclair & Joseph Pilapil, Karl Kohut and more this summer. This 3-day program offers daily tap dance and solo swing dance classes, live music and improvisation sessions, as well as a performance opportunity alongside the faculty on Sunday July 7th at The Park Theatre.
During the course of this event, intermediate and advanced students will train their tap dance technique, learn original choreography, improvise with musicians, gain more knowledge on the history of jazz and tap dance, explore new avenues of sound and movement, and receive experience from some of Canada’s best educators and artists.
Additionally, (in)sight offers two special evening workshops:
Tap Dance for Jazz Musicians (July 5th - 5:30 - 7:00 pm)
Teaching Tap dance (July 6th - 5:30 - 7:00 pm with Danny Nielsen)
